About Us

The International Bureau for Migrant Rights (IMAB) is an expert community that unites professionals in the field of labor migration. We believe that every individual has the right to fair treatment, the protection of their rights and freedoms, and the opportunity for self-fulfillment and to provide for their families.

IMAB considers its primary mission to be the prevention of illegal or ill-considered labor migration. We firmly believe that a labor migrant should:

  • Respect the values of the host country.
  • Clearly understand the goals of their journey.
  • Comply with the laws and societal norms of the country they enter.
  • Be a valuable and contributing member of the labor market.
Labor migration is not only an opportunity for individuals but also an essential tool for many countries to address demographic and economic challenges. We recognize that legal and well-prepared labor migration contributes to stabilizing economies, resolving crises related to population decline, and strengthening global collaboration.

Our Vision

The International Bureau for Migrant Rights (IMAB) views labor migration as a complex yet essential process that, when properly organized, benefits both labor migrants and host countries.

The cornerstone of our efforts is the "Green Corridor"—a straightforward and transparent system designed for labor migrants who are prepared for conscientious, legal, and secure migration. This initiative aims to create conditions where:

  • Honest and responsible individuals, with clear goals and motivation, receive support and access to the labor market.
  • Labor migrants understand the values, laws, and societal norms of the host country, making them valuable and respected members of the community.
IMAB’s educational function plays a critical role:
For those not yet ready for labor migration and who receive low scores in their evaluation of qualifications and readiness, we provide detailed explanations.

Candidates learn:

  • Why labor migration may not be a suitable option for them at this stage.
  • Which mistakes and deficiencies need to be addressed.
  • What skills and competencies should be developed to achieve success in the future.
Our goal is to ensure that every candidate makes informed decisions, understands their prospects, and is prepared for life and work in a new environment.

IMAB Solutions

IMAB offers innovative approaches to regulating and supporting labor migration, making the process transparent, secure, and efficient.

The cornerstone of our efforts is the "Green Corridor" for labor migrants.
This initiative is based on the creation of an international standard for certifying labor migrants — the MIGRANT ID Certificate. This tool is developed in accordance with IMAB’s high standards and the principles of the United Nations.

The MIGRANT ID Certificate enables:

  • Verification of qualifications, document legitimacy, and a candidate's readiness for labor migration;
  • Assessment of a candidate’s capabilities, highlighting their strengths and areas for improvement;
  • Providing employers and consular services with transparency and confidence in the candidate’s credentials.
Together with the implementation of a decentralized labor exchange, the certificate establishes a clean and fair labor market. This system supports the principles of transparency, integrity, and equality, which are particularly vital for frontline workers — a category often most vulnerable in the labor market.

We are convinced that only through clear standards, international collaboration, and digital solutions can we:

  • Prevent illegal migration.
  • Enhance the integration of labor migrants.
  • Develop effective models for global employment.
